Badan Pengelola Usaha Universitas Sumatera Utara held a Business Restructuring Meeting with a focus on units included in the non-health cluster. This activity is part of the University's strategic steps in strengthening governance and optimizing the performance of business units under the auspices of the Universitas Sumatera Utara. This meeting involved a number of related parties, namely the Direktorat Hukum dan Organisasi, Biro Keuangan, and other business units that will be restructured.

In the meeting, the business units became the main focus of discussion at this meeting, namely non-health cluster business units such as Laboratorium Terpadu, Pusat Bahasa, and Laboratorium Uji Dental. All these three are considered to have significant potential in supporting the university's academic and entrepreneurial missions, but still face various challenges from the managerial, institutional, and financial sides. Therefore, it is necessary to rearrange the operational structure and system so that they can contribute more optimally to the university's income and reputation.

Direktorat Hukum dan Organisasi Universitas Sumatera Utara also emphasized the importance of adjusting the legal aspects and institutional governance in this restructuring process. Meanwhile, the Biro Keuangan also provided input related to budget efficiency, asset management, and the potential for new business models that are more adaptive to market and industrial needs. All parties agreed that restructuring should not only target efficiency, but should also open up space for innovation and strategic collaboration.

Through this meeting, the Universitas Sumatera Utara demonstrated its commitment to building more professional, transparent, and results-oriented business units. It is hoped that this step will strengthen the role of the Universitas Sumatera Utara as a higher education institution that is financially independent and responsive to the challenges of the times. The restructuring process will be continued with the preparation of a more detailed action plan, including short-term and medium-term targets for each unit.
