Rector of USU Inaugurates Vice Rectors and University Secretary for the 2026–2031 Term

The inauguration of the Vice Rectors and the University Secretary marks a strategic step in strengthening the leadership of Universitas Sumatera Utara for the 2026–2031 period.

Universitas Sumatera Utara (USU) officially appointed its new leadership lineup after the Rector of USU, Muryanto Amin, inaugurated the Vice Rectors and the University Secretary for the 2026–2031 term. The inauguration ceremony took place on Monday (2/3/2026) at the Digital Learning Center Building.

 

The inauguration formed part of efforts to strengthen the university’s leadership structure in supporting the implementation of institutional programs and the development of strategic sectors within the university.

 

The officials inaugurated as Vice Rectors of Universitas Sumatera Utara for the 2026–2031 term are Poppy Anjelisa Z. Hasibuan as Vice Rector I for Academic Affairs, Student Affairs, and Alumni Relations; Arifin Nasution as Vice Rector II for Human Resources, Finance, and Information Systems; Himsar Ambarita as Vice Rector III for Research, Innovation, and Cooperation; and Muhammad Anggia Muchtar as Vice Rector IV for Planning, Infrastructure, and Business.

 

In addition, Ikhsan Siregar was also inaugurated as the University Secretary, who will support coordination and administrative management within the university in implementing various strategic policies.

 

Through this new leadership structure, the university is expected to further strengthen the quality of education, advance research and innovation development, and enhance adaptive and collaborative institutional governance. Various strategic programs are also expected to be implemented more optimally in supporting the university’s progress.

 

With solid leadership, Universitas Sumatera Utara remains committed to continuously improving its institutional competitiveness while expanding its academic contributions to society at both the national and international levels.
