Profile Business Management Unit

The Business Management Unit of Universitas Sumatera Utara is an academic support entity assisting the Rector in managing and developing the university’s business ventures. The unit’s establishment is formalized through Rector’s Regulation No. 16 of 2023 regarding the Business Management Unit of Universitas Sumatera Utara. It is led by a Head of Unit, supported by a Secretary and three Division Managers. The current Head of the Business Management Unit is Dr. Doli Muhammad Jafar Dalimunthe, S.E., M.Si., appointed under Rector’s Decree No. 903/UN5.1.R/SK/SDM/2024 concerning the appointment and dismissal of the unit’s leadership within Universitas Sumatera Utara.

2022

The university administration identified the need for a dedicated unit to oversee and manage all business entities owned by Universitas Sumatera Utara.

2023

Rector’s Regulation No. 16 of 2023 was enacted, officially establishing the Business Management Unit.

2024

The Rector appointed Dr. Doli Muhammad Jafar Dalimunthe, S.E., M.Si., as the Head of the Business Management Unit, as per Rector’s Decree No. 903/UN5.1.R/SK/SDM/2024.

2024

The unit recruited temporary administrative staff to support operational activities.

2024 – Present

The Business Management Unit actively monitors and evaluates all business ventures and entities within Universitas Sumatera Utara.
