Universitas Sumatera Utara, through Badan Pengelola Usaha, facilitated the signing of a cooperation agreement between the innovator of the Art Teasant product and PT Pembangunan Almameter Sejahtera. This signing reflects a commitment to support the downstream commercialization of innovation products developed by the academic community at the Universitas Sumatera Utara, enabling them to reach a broader market. Art Teasant, an innovative herbal tea-based beverage, is expected to provide added economic value while also promoting the local biodiversity heritage.
This cooperation covers aspects of product distribution and marketing, as well as ongoing support in the development of innovation-based businesses derived from research outcomes. Through this collaboration, Universitas Sumatera Utara reaffirms its role in building an integrated innovation ecosystem between academia and industry, ensuring that research results do not remain confined to the laboratory but also provide tangible benefits to society and contribute to national economic development.
